Rannveig Mietinen er en tverrfaglig kunstner og designer med base i den arktiske delen av Norge. Hennes brede praksis inkluderer alt fra tegning, maleri, tekstil og grafikk, til fotografi, film, lyd og duft - ofte forankret i tematiske undersøkelser av møtet mellom natur, identitet, mytologi og alkymi. Rannveig er opprinnelig fra Vestre Jakobselv, med kvenske (norsk-finske) og samiske røtter. Etter 15 år med kunst- og designutdannelse og yrkeserfaring fra Norge, Finland, Danmark og Storbritannia, har hun vendt tilbake til hjemtraktene og bor og arbeider nå i Vadsø.
